Hurricane Ian who?? Leading up to their big day (including the day of!), there were many worries that the forecast would not allow for any breaks in the rain but the wedding gods pulled through. We were not only able to have the Ceremony outside but also all of the portraits! Outdoor photos are definitely not a necessity but we were able to capture some amazing shots on the dock at the venue Celebrations at The Bay.
This venue has the most amazing lighting! With the reception area having an entire wall of windows, this allowed for amazing light to bounce off their white ceilings and fill the room even on this overcast day. The outdoor ceremony site also has exquisite lighting with its light colored deck which bounced beautiful neutral colored light onto the couple.
However, Megan and Steven need no extra light because the love they have for each other just gleams! Corny I know, but it is SO true. From the time I’ve spent with them, it is obvious how perfect they are for one another. Their wedding was filled with so much happiness and LOTS of dancing. There was absolutely no trouble at all getting guests to join in for all the fun!
One thing you’ll spot is that Megan held her grandmother’s watch close to her heart while she got married by wrapping it around her bouquet. It’s these little special details that really add so much more meaning to your wedding day and I highly suggest including some!
As always, I like to point out the unique thing that I love and for this wedding it was the foam stick send-off! Sparklers are the typical prop used for exits and as gorgeous as they are, they’re typical! These foam lights added uniqueness but were also super practical. These lights allowed for plenty of time to set up guests and get photos rather than rushing while the sparklers were still lit and it was quite windy this night which would have caused some difficulty lighting sparklers.
Overall Megan & Steven had an incredible wedding and I am so blessed that I was able to be a part of it!
